

I knew things would be slightly different working for Brand events when I first received the job spec. JFDI is not a company value that I was familiar with, this in mind I was unsure of what to expect as I walked into the office to be met with a full on garden complete with picnic tables, tree house and “Jacuzzi” feature.
I grew up in the aesthetically pleasing town of Leamington Spa before graduating from the University of Birmingham in 2005. I managed to tick the box of the stereotyped graduate by travelling for the best part of a year. Random experiences include living with a Nomadic Mongolian family (they slaughtered their prize sheep for me which I later found out was on the misunderstanding I was a famous westerner), meeting with the president of Bolivia and flying in the Bolivian equivalent of Air Force One.
I returned from my travels and moved to London to work in financial recruitment, then I had a rather colorful and inspiring interview with Brand Events. This is a company with a unique ethos. We do things because they are funny but maintain an extremely professional vision obvious when you look at the successes achieved with our events here and now globally. I work on the Taste festivals which as a brand is fantastic to be involved with simply because it’s an amazing event and such a well received brand. Away from work I rather enjoy music particularly Drum and or Bass punctuated with a spot of Dub step, festival going, cycling and a strange obsession with airplanes coupled with a fear of flying.
